Submerged Chain & Belt Conveyor

Bevcon submerged chain conveyors are efficient and proven bottom ash handling system and most cost effective compared with other alternative system. It is used to collect, quench and dewater furnace, boiler bed ash etc. Bevcon submerged chain conveyors are typically used in furnace coal ash disposal, pulverized coal fired boilers, and stoker fired boilers burning coal, RDF wood waste, biomass fuel ash and other fuel applications.

Bevcon Submerged chain conveyors are low in power and water consumption and are made of abrasion resistant durable components. They are also equipped with ZSS pin to protect equipment from damage. Our submerged chain conveyors are also used for Slag Granulating, environmental engineering below gas conditioning tower for sponge iron projects.

  • 35 degree inclination allows excess water to drained from material
  • Take-up assembly provides proper tension during conveying operation
  • Ideal for handling bottom ash, mill rejects and economizer ash for immediate transport or disposal
  • Eliminates dewatering bins and storage ponds by consuming less water to operate
  • Fits low headroom spaces with less maintenance
  • Reduced capital costs
  • Less space and Low power consumption
  • Produces a more manageable product for sale or disposal

Bottom ash is continually collected, cooled and dewatered with a submerged chain conveyor. Ash falls constantly from the boiler through a discharge hopper into a water filled chamber upper trough that quenches and cools the ash. Dual-strand chains and flights move the ash along the horizontal trough and up a dewatering ramp for disposal.  The inclined section allows excess water to be drained from the ash material. At the top of the ramp, the ash falls through a discharge chute into trucks for final disposal.
