Ring Granulator

Pressure granulation most often uses ring granulators. To ensure a proper course of pressure in granulation process, it is important that material is forced through holes which are set in a particular matrix. An adjustable cage consisting of set of holes is arranged in the crushing chamber.
Bevcon ring granulators crush the material by the combination of impact and rolling compression. Product size is determined by the openings incorporated in the cage. The cage is so adjusted by changing the clearance between the cage and the path of grinding. Bevcon granulators are also provided with a tramp iron pockets (most of the times provided with magnets) to remove the un crushed foreign materials.
Bevcon Ring granulator’s body consists of lower and upper casings fabricated with heavy duty steel plates. Body is provided with high wear resistant liners.

The rotor consists of machined shaft of forged alloy steel supported on two spherical bearings on either ends. Rotor assembly consisting of segments in boomerang shape and centrally mounted on shaft. Toothed, plain or combination of toothed and plain cast alloy ring segments are mounted on rotor with the help of a connecting bar. These crushing rings are set along the width of the crusher on four quadrants of rotor.
Material entered in the crushing chamber is hit by these crushing rings and forced through the set of holes in the cage thus the output size is accurately maintained. Adjustable cage is fabricated from heavy duty steel plates provided with either cast or hard lined cage segments.
