Flip Flow Screen

Flip Flow Vibrating Screens are used to screen the material having high moisture and sticky in nature where the circular motion or any conventional mechanical vibrating screen becomes inadequate to cater the requirement. Bevcon flip flow screen motion is versatile compared to other flip flow screen technologies. The particle motion of Bevcon flip flow screen takes an elliptical path.
This versatile motion extends a trampoline effect of screening media. Very high G forces up to 50G are achieved through this action. Flip flow screen consists of two baskets (Inner & outer) mounted on a common shaft. However the centre axis of both the baskets is not same but inner basket is having a slight eccentricity.
Screen mats are of Polyurethane and modular in construction. These mats are connected to the tie pipes of inner and outer baskets. The rotation of screen shaft will cause the screen media to mould and stretch with high intervals.

Bevcon flip flow screens consisting of two baskets which are constructed with two side plates fabricated out of fully killed steel plates. Both the side plates are connected with tie members of either rectangular or hollow sections (pipes). Flip flow screen both the baskets are mounted on a damping springs.
Thus Bevcon flip flow screen characteristics is ideally suited for efficient screening of moist, sticky, fibrous, wet bulk materials with a high percentage of fines or near size particles.

  • The use of a Polyurethane screen mats doesn’t call for corrosion & non blinding
  • Highly precision PU screen mat openings cut with world class water jet technology
  • Screw less screen mats fixing and highly reliable and easy replacement mechanism
  • Highly effective side skirting system to avoid leakage between decks
  • Multiple deck system possible
  • High ‘G’forces for effective screening
  • Range of industries particularly suited to this kind of screen is –

    • Coal, Pet coke
    • Iron Ore fines
    • Bauxite fines
    • Gypsum, Sand
    • Quartzite
    • Feldspar
    • Crushed limestone
    • Municipal solid waste
  • The screen consists of two screen frames, inner and outer. The frames are counter currently oscillated by the eccentric shaft. The circular movement of the drive shaft is transformed into oscillation of the screen frames by means of helical springs. The outer screen frame is suspended from the inner frame by guide springs, permitting horizontal movement. The inner screen case is supported by means of rubber insulated springs. The cross beams supporting the elastic screen mats are alternately connected to the inner and outer screen case. The movement of the screen frames results in a change of spacing between the cross bars and the screen mats are tensioned and detensioned from 8-16 times per second.

The relative movement of both screening frames creates a “trampoline effect” for the screening mats. The advantages of this effect are High acceleration upto 50g in the screening mats and loosening-up of the product.
